Undefeated Weekend for the Kanata Knights

It was a great start to the 2016 season at Bob Barr Filed this past Saturday, with all Kanata Knights teams starting the season with a 1-0 record.

The stands were filled with anxious fans as the Kanata Knights Cheerleaders kept the crowds cheering for their players all day long.

The day started with the first of four Kanata Knights vs. West Carleton Wolverine match ups with the Tykes battling through each quarter with long drives, nail bitting interceptions and a solid team effort to bring home a 59-39 win for the young Knights players.

Immediately afterwards saw the Mosquitos dig in deep for a 30-20 win over  with every defensive player involved in at least one tackle to hold the Wolverines at bay and allow the offensive arsenal to outpaced the Wolverines in net yards 434 to 241 with solid passing and running.

Hot on the heels of the Mosquito win was the Kinghts Peewee’s scoring early with the defence dugging in hard and denied the opposition any ground as they shut down all offensive drives securing a 8-0 win

Bantam ended the day with offence and defence firing on all cylinders as the offence marched down the field and put up 40 points while defence stopped the opposition in their tracks with a nil point denial.

Up next is the Knights Midget Team for the first of many Friday NightLights at Bob Barr Field on September 2nd.
