All members of the Kanata Knights Football Organization are invited to attend the annual AGM. This year the AGM will be hosted at the Mlacak Centre Hall A at 7:30 on February 8th. The following list is the proposed outlined agenda for the meeting:

1) Report of the Chair of the Club,

2) Report of the Treasurer of the Club to consist of:

i. Annual Budget approved by the Executive for the year just ended,

ii. Statement of actual financial performance against the Annual Budget,

iii. Statement of Income and Expenses, and,

iv. Balance Sheet.

3) Report of Auditors for the year ended confirming accuracy of Treasurer’s Report.

4) Appointment of Auditors for the year,

5) Report of the Director of Football Operations,

6) Report of the Nominating Committee as specified below, and

7) Elections of Executive Members.

If you are interested in volunteering your time with Kanata Knights Organization through a position on the Executive, please let our elections committee (Steve.Greene@sanmina.comchris.villeneuve@hotmail.com know prior to January 24 2017.

No nominations will be accepted at the AGM.

The positions on the executive are as follows:

CHAIR- PRESIDENT:

Responsible for the governance of the club, compliance with constitution and chairing of all meetings.

SECRETARY:

Responsible for club records, returns and meeting minutes

TREASURER:

Responsible for the financial affairs, budget preparation for ratification by executive, financial statements and accounts of the club

DIRECTOR OF FOOTBALL OPERATIONS

(With the following three directors reporting to him/her) – Overall responsibility for the conduct of all football activities.

DEPUTY DIRECTOR OF FOOTBALL OPERATIONS

Responsible for A) field scheduling, supervision of non-coaching football staff AND B) equipment control.

DEPUTY DIRECTOR OF COACHING AND COACH DEVELOPMENT

Responsible for coach supervision and evaluation.

DIRECTOR OF TRAINING AND PROGRAMS

Responsible for development of off season programming and training

DIRECTOR OF MARKETING AND FUNDRAISING

Responsible for fundraising, club marketing and development.

DIRECTOR OF VOLUNTEERS

Responsible for volunteer recruitment and supervision of non-football volunteers.

DIRECTOR OF REGISTRATION AND MEMBERSHIP

Responsible for club registration, membership (players and cheerleaders) and ensuring compliance with age limit requirements.

DEPUTY DIRECTOR OF CANTEEN SERVICES

Responsible for all canteen services at all home games.

DEPUTY DIRECTOR OF NON-CONTACT FOOTBALL

Responsible for organization of girls flag football and boys touch football seasons.

All members of the Kanata Knights Organization are invited to attend the meeting and to cast one vote on any positions with multiple nominees. Membership includes all:

a. Player/Cheerleader members,

b. Parent members – defined as the parents or guardians of all Player/Cheerleader members under the age of 16 years old.

c. Participating members – all coaches, trainers, convenors and support staff whose application for membership has been approved by the Board of Directors.
